in Bb, low pitch

The Püstophon company was founded in the early 1900s by two German instrument builders, Püchner and Stowasser. Hence the name Pü-Sto… They quickly specialized in Albert clarinets and produced these in exceptionally good quality. The company name Püstophon was registered in 1950, and the shop closed in 1975. So this is a relatively new clarinet within the Albert system. I can already confirm that this is really good German craftsmanship. Everything on the key system just fits, and a fantastic piece of grenadilla wood has been used. Not just the hint of a crack.

The clarinet has been completely refurbished: New pads, cork, the body is cleaned and oiled, keys buffed, optimized and lubricated.
The body is made of good quality grenadilla wood and is 59,2 cm long from top of barrel to bottom of bell. The bore is 14,50 mm and the total weight is 671 grams. The clarinet pitches perfectly at A=440 with a modern mouthpiece. I play one from Vytas Krass.
The keys are made of German silver and has the typical German tradition in the design.
Serial number is 23257.
Important:
I would ask you to “warm up / break in” the clarinet gently. Play for about half an hour every day for at least a month. Not anymore. The wood needs to be reminded that it is actually a clarinet and needs to get used to changes in humidity again.
Please note that although it looks pretty in the photos, it is not a new clarinet. both wood and keys show signs of wear.
